Grand Prairie

First settled in the 1850s, the town was platted in 1876 under the name of Dechman. It took on its current name in 1877. This vibrant DFW metroplex city is now home to a thoroughbred racetrack, Louis Tussaud's Palace of Wax, Ripley's Believe It Or Not!, Grand Prairie AirHogs baseball, the Historic Uptown Theater, a huge flea market, Lake Joe Pool and top-ranked golf courses.
