Public access is at Fairfield Lake State Park. Park offers picnicking, camping and fishing. Seven miles northeast of Fairfield via F.M. 488, F.M. 2570 and F.M. 3285.
Enjoy fantastic winter fishing at this lake warmed by a power plant. The lake is stocked with red drum (redfish) and holds a state record for an inland red drum. The park also offers equestrian trails, as well as lakefront camping and walk-in primitive campsites. In the winter, spot bald eagles....
