Climb to the top of this pink granite dome that rises 425 feet above the surrounding countryside. The natural area covers 640 acres, and is popular for rock climbing, picnicking, geological study, birding, stargazing, hiking and tent camping. Occasionally the park fills to capacity. Mid-week and off-season visits offer smaller crowds. Reservations are recommended several months in advance for campsites.
