This National Natural Landmark houses one of the state's largest colonies of Mexican-tailed bats. This enormous vertical cavern--50 feet wide and about 140 feet deep--is thought to be the largest single-chamber cavern in Texas. From late spring through early fall, witness more than 3 million bats stream into the evening sky.
The park is only accessible with pre-scheduled tours. Evening bat emergence tours are offered Wednesday through Saturday during the summer. Tours launch from the Rocksprings Visitor Center. Reservations required. Contact the Devil's Sinkhole Society.
